    I'm trying it right now...

    ###Original Message###
As of today I was able to unlock the Z2 Pro as mentioned in another thread here.

I was then able to boot into TWRP and even flash it to the recovery partition.

The only thing I cannot accomplish is to get it rootet with SuperSU working. The flashing failes right after "Adding daemon launcher".

When trying to boot up afterwards nothing happens so that I have to restore my backup.

Would like to get this solved real fast as I can then make another backup with this rooted state.

Did anyone manage to root it yet?

Mine is rooted. Took me about 2 minutes. You can write me on hangouts.

    Hey VonFrosta.

Thanks but as I stated in the topic and on the first line in bold: It worked with a patched SuperSU.

I'd like to contact you nevertheless. Do you have Telegram too?

Cannot find you on Hangouts. Peter von Frosta is quite a common name there ;-)

Do I need an unlocked bootloader to do root?

yes indeed. Then flash custom recovery from your PC, then flash superSU from custom recovery.

    The usual suspects ;)

Original ota update application, checks first, if system is rooted. I've patched ota update to skip check root procedure. Application will download update.zip file :)

Still, because we are using twrp recovery, original update.zip files should be modded to skip device version, and jump to update.
