Android has become a platform of customizations. There are plenty ways to make your phone unique in every way. There are plenty of ways to customize your phone, starting from launcher, fonts, navigation bar, etc. Lets start.
Note: Preferably for rooted phones only.
Part 1 Launchers, icons packs, and CMTE (Compatible with MM and N)
Lets start with the launcher. There are plenty of 3rd party launchers around, but the only launcher that really fits for me is the Nova Launcher.
Nova Launcher(paid) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher
It is highly customizable, with a lot of configurations to check out. I have a back up of my setting, I can upload it if you guys want.
Next is the icon packs. A lot of icon packs, both paid and free ones are on the store, but nothing beats the paid ones when it comes to updates and stuffs(base on my observation)
Pixel IP(paid) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ciaostudio.pixeliconpack
I like the round edges of all the icons, and they blend perfectly with my dark background, emphasizing their colors and contrast.
Still a good icon pack with deeper colors. Check this out
With the help of CMTE, you guys can further customize your phone. I'm on Nougat for a while now, so you guys can just check out the available good CM themes from Playstore.
Mentioned above️️ are just a few of customizations you can do. What really excites me is the integration of OMS commits in the latest RR-N and Mokee N ROMs. There are tons of things that can be customized using substratum, and I barely even use 0.1% of it, pun intended. (Evil laugh)
Part 2 (Substratum Engine for N)
Read here what is substratum: (recommended to read) https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/projekt-substratum-t3423623
Very important note: Before applying any overlays, you must first read and understand the consequences you will encounter in case bootloops will occur.
For those who want to use overlays. It was implemented recently to RR. Thanks for @davidevinavil's work.
Download the substratum legacy app from playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.substratum
SubFont is a pretty cool app for subs engine. Pretty neat, and very easy to use. There are a lot of fonts you can choose from.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alldev.subfont
Nav Bar. Yes, I know most of our custom ROMs implemented nav bars, to avoid confusion using the one and only capacitive button thay we have. What if I tell you we can further customize it to the way we wanted?
For Sound Mods

Use the NON-AROMA.
You can choose what adds on you want to activate. I personally used it, just check the screenshot for suggestions of adds on you want to activate.

Screen shots (sorry for the quality)
Most of the new ROMs right now have mediocre camera apps preinstalled. The devs are having a hard time because of bugs, so just leave them to them. I have a list of flashable camera apps that are functioning well with good picture and vid output. Just try them
Note: All of these are working well, except for the builds I mentioned that they wont work on. Hope you can understand.
Snapdragon Camera for CM13: https://mega.nz/#!gktTkATS!1CWbAQ4rC5fsAaF5XomeVJ9UyhQK-jS3meeZfqkkZA4
-Working on all CM13 based ROMs, also with LineageOS and Mokee MM and N
-Not working on DU 7.1.1(crashes)
Ported Camera from Moto : https://mega.nz/#!R08A0BhK!AW5CQ5q0ESmgmKxkf3ZawIuf8okzhJGy696amEeq0Lo
-Tried on CM13, RR-MM. Haven't tried on Nougat builds.
Snapdragon Camera v2.2
-Everything works perfectly on DU. I still havent tested on MM. Just try it
Snapdragon Camera v3 https://mega.nz/#!xtMEiJAZ!EAiHhpQPgRYc3G0SKhRRct0FfnH3Bhi1Cmh2sQp7ISc
(Continuous Shot isnt working, bug: sometimes, when using flash when capturing photos, it wont capture anything, and will just send you to the app crashing frequently)
-Working well with DU, but I havent tried it on other builds. Just try it on other ROMs
That's it guys. Thanks for reading. It is all a matter of preferences. Share your mods and settings too if you want.
