I have flashed this baseband always with wiping cache and dalvik and everything went fine but some people have bricked their phones. It is recoverable the brick. I have found this baseband on Du thread at the first pages and it fixed my unstable network that came from the baseband of the 2.5 zui

who has been successful in this modem change and who hasn't?
There is no one answer, different results on different ROM.

From my understanding, 6.0 Baseband works on 7.1.1 but not vice versa?
Not absolutely so) If to trust screenshots, then modems work at all versions.

And judging by responses, this version of the modem (M8996FAAAANAZM-1.70664.3.76387.1) well works for many.

I dont have any jumping of signals on CAF using this version(1.7), but the ones using this on DU definitely are complaining

Hi, thanks

Can you translate the instructions for me please? A lot of words just seem odd in Google translate.

Set for a firmware of radio from ZUI 2.5.334 (the Android 7.0) (M8996FAAAANAZM-1.70664.3.76387.1) through fastboot.
It is recommended for installation by that who tests custom firmwares on a basis the Android 7.x.
Set contains the modem, bluetooth, adb, is packed the rar5 format.
0. Download and unpack zip-archive.
1. Load the phone into fastboot mode.
2. Connect to PC.
3. Run flash_radios.bat and follow instruction on screen.
4. In fastboot menu select "Power off". After some minutes - turn on the phone.

Notes from @.: SID :.
Please download and install only if you really need it and you understand how and why.
I am not responsible for the consequences of your actions.
Just in case, inside the script added cache cleaning of the modem and gps - it should eliminate possible problems with frequent changes of firmware.

Thanks a lot

Did all of this, can confirm I get a lot less random drops, my phone stays on LTE a lot more and the general fluctuation is a lot less than it was before.

Would recommend. Thanks for the translation

I flashed my phone as soon as it arrived from Banggood with the latest Indian ROM. The 1.63821.1 baseband version came with it.

Hi if you have problems with the 1.7 baseband you can flash thishttps://mega.nz/#!Kt1DHDjI!IVMfeYKaCoV4yM_JVajFN1X1l4-K3fZ1XNkYysezqxs from twrp recovery, but beware some people have bricked their phones

What about long term effect? Still works for you? Which rom are you using? After flash this do you have stable signal?

For me this baseband works equal to previous one (the one that came with zui 2.5) I'm with latest DU
Is working ok, in both cases, just wanted to test if improved 4g at work, no lucks, works the same

I do not have a definite answer.
On 4pda came to the conclusion that z2 are all different. On the same firmware, different phones can work in different ways.
You can find out the answer only when you try it.

p.s. i have 1.70664.3.76387.1 version

Brickou passing via twrp this modem that you passed me in the DU have another way of trying to put this modem?
