So TWRP doesn't broke if I update vis sd method? Thankx I can't test it for now, or maybe I could find time ....
I don't know, I haven't installed TWRP.

(I only use TWRP for temporary recovery)

But maybe it will be replaced with stock recovery.

Well I do it. I update vis sdfuse method. TWRP is overvritten by default recovery. Now I can't use TWRP, and obviously I'm not root, but this is not a problem. Only need to install again TWRP like ever, and ready.

Thanks for the great guide! :)

But can anyone make this clear: Is it possible to flash a new version of ZUI (e.g. 2.1.120) when the phone is unlocked and rooted (without relocking/unrooting it)? Because in the guide it is stated that it works, but in another thread (Link) e.g. @huebi wrote, that the phone has to be relocked/unrooted.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards
Tek
You can do it, with SDfuse Method.

I did it

Hi m_atze,

sorry for this newbie question: Wat do you mean with "custom ROM". My ZUK Z2 Pro (Z2121) has ZUI version 1.9.104 ST and Android version 6.0.1. Does this ZUI version is original or custom? It seems that this version will not support all ZUK Z2 pro features, it has not all apps (like u-health ...) and it seems not to have OTA upgrade.

I´m a little bit concerned to flash a new rom version in order not to brick the phone and not to loose the data.

Does your flash guide is valid for upgrading from ZUI 1.9.104ST? And does the SD-card flashing really means that my apps and data will survive?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Best
Oliver

Hi,

Do you have multilanguage, such like German, Italiano, Espanyol, ... to choose?
Also you mentioned that it is impossible to do OTA etc. That means your dealer, you bought the phone installed a custom ROM. No problem at all, I bougt my device with a ROM like this as well.

Just follow the instructions and flash via QPST/QFiL!

SD-Update will partially brick your device!

And yes, If you installed a Stock ZUK ROM and install updates via SD-Update all your data will survive! But if you rooted your phone and do a SD-UPdate or QFIL/QPST update root will be lost and has to be installed again.

I cant enter the sd update mode. If I push quick the power button and after that, I hold down the vol- button, the phone started to boot.

What ist the problem? It is not my my first sd update....

Press volume down rocker and power key simultaneously, you will feel a short vibration, don't release your fingers yet, after a short while there will be another but longer vibration and now release the power key immediately however maintain the volume down rocker pressed and then you will enter the engineer menu to carry out SD update.
