How to install vendor build (bellow 6.2)

1- flash latest official TWRP
2- on TWRP, install latest zui baseband
3- flash factory2vendor.zip and reboot to recovery again.
4- on TWRP click on install, install image, choose the vendor image file and select to install in Vendor Image.
5- do a full wipe (wipe, advanced wipe, dalvik, cache, system and data)
6- flash rom
7- flash gapps
wipe cache if asked.
8- Flash magisk and custom kernel if you want
9- reboot to system

How to install factory build (above 6.3):

If you are already on Zui, just update your baseband (zui 4.x)
Install TWRP
Do a full wipe
Flash Rom
Flash Gapps
Reboot.

*Coming from roms for which you had done factory2vendor conversion:

1. Flash Vendor2factory zip
2. Flash new TWRP
3. Reboot to recovery again
4. Full wipe if you arent on aex 6.2.
5. Flash rom
6. Flash gapps (even if you are on aex 6.2)
Reboot.

If you tied to flash magisk but it failed, follow this:
First, uninstall magisk manager APP if you have it installed, and delete all magisk files you have.
Download all files again from here:
https://www.google.com.br/amp/s/foru...-t3473445/amp/

Latest stable
Latest uninstaller
Latest magisk manager

Reboot to TWRP
Go to Mount option and mount system and vendor
Go to install and flash magisk uninstaller
Go to mount and mount system and vendor again
Go to install and flash magisk zip.
Wipe cache and dalvik and reboot.
Install magisk manager apk.
Open manager - settings and hide magisk manager.
Done.

Yep, im using this one with these settings:

Settings > Advanced Settings > Main camera > Base model: Nexus 5X
Settings > Advanced Settings > Front-camera > Base model: Nexus 5X and then Manual fixed black level offset: 15.30

Everything is working fine :)

They said that latest August version drains less than September version. I didnt test

Hi, no you wont have problems.

Just follow this guide:

Unlock bootloader
Flash TWRP Red Wolf
On TWRP install factory2vendor file
Reboot to recovery
full wipe (dont wipe data and internal storage)
add system to mount option
Flash the custom rom zip
flash gapps
i am unlocked bootloader ....the red wolf project twrp is a MUST to install it? ..because i already have installed twrp 3.2

thank you in advance

MY FRIEND i installed the rom as you said....till now everything SEEMS to work fine but while charging device gets too hot...is that a problem?
it is normal for the phone to get a little hot right after a rom installation.
Let the phone settle for at least 2 days. I dont have heat issues on mine

Hmm room for improvement then haha. Let's hope it stops being alpha soon. Looking for a new daily driver rom without any drain issue that stock rom gives me.. And since drains and Oreo seem to go hand in hand so I figured why not go for pie lol.
